Description
Aviva plc, founded in 1696, is among the world’s oldest insurance companies in continuous existence. Aviva has the distinction of one of the first insurance companies to set up business in India in 1834.
Aviva India is a joint venture between Aviva PLC and Dabur Invest Corp, one of India’s oldest and most respected business houses.
We can trace our heritage back to 1696. Our business began in an age of highwaymen but is as relevant to customers today as it was then.
Aviva companies have insured many famous names and landmarks that have historical importance. We have insured politicians, poets, authors, painters, and more. Here is just a small selection:
Sir Winston Churchill, John F Kennedy, Agatha Christie, James Bond, Duke of Wellington, Sir Isaac Newton, RMS Titanic, London Bridge, British Museum...
A strategic advantage that Aviva brings to our customers is our diversity across countries, products and investments.
Our geographic footprint includes 16 selected markets in Europe, North America and South-East Asia, with us being the only large scale, multi-line insurer in the UK. Our international businesses account for approximately half of Aviva’s customer base and provide a good source of diversification.
